My tortoise isnt eating that much?

Hi all! My Indian leopard tortoise Grover hasn't been eating that much since I bought him. He's around 8 cm and around 3 months old. Im very worried about him, please help me! I fed him a lettuce a day (fresh ones) and he only nibbles it and goes back to sleep for the whole day.

Hi! First do you have a leopard or a star, as the name you gave implies it could be either one. Can you tell us how your caring for him. Like what temps he is kept at? lighting? natural sunlught?

Hello and Welcome. If you do actually have a leopard, the threads below in my post form Tom should be read and set your leopard up in the same way. The sulcata threads will as be the same as for leopards. If you actually have an Indian Star then the care will be similar, but I'm not sure how similar. Post a pic if you can and give us all the details Jacqui asked for.

Also, if they (all tortoises) are not able to warm up past 85 degrees, they can it digest their food properly and this would make them not eat much.
