Oh yeah, you don't live too far from here :D

I think I explained my concern wrong, sorry? I was referring to what a bunch of water would do if that pvc line broke/cracked during inclement weather...I don't know how deep that line is in relation to where your guy is? You know what I mean...? After working where I did I had to constantly repair broken/cracked irrigation lines and witnessed the flooding that happens when the lines are damaged plus...I am a huge worry wart, so I was just OCD'ing when I saw the line....I did not mean any harm LOL... really :D

That is an awesome burrow...that is for certain :D

I know what you you are saying, I have lived in Indio for 20 years and have never had a line break even outdoor plastic fausets, I dont think it gets that cold in town, I am unsure what I am going to do this winter, may block the borrow off and provide an above ground shelter, he probably wont like that much ,he has spent the first 8 years of his life in Monrovia and I have had him for about a month now. The people that had him kept him outside in an uninsulated dog house year round and it got pretty cold there this winter.

I would never encourage someone to cover/destroy a naturally selected location burrow....I wish all of my guys could remain out 24/7 even in the winter months...and I did let two of my guys do just that---but then in 2010 the flood waters came with all of that crazy rain...I had to rescue one that was on his tippy toes vertically asleep against the wall of the hole and had to man another of my guys burrows by digging trenches and checking on him every 20-30 minutes so he would not be flooded which went on for 2 days straight and every time it rained thereafter in 2010 then again in 2011 start of the year the flood waters came again...had to rescue those two plus a new one that came to live with me...the damn gophers caused a great portion of the headache as well....

So, I am an advocate for natural location selected/dug burrows...really I am...love them...but the last couple of years that rain has increased along with the crazy temps....and because I have seen/repaired and cleaned up after failed irrigation lines I think that is why that line stuck out to me like a bullyeye :p

I hope your guy has TONS and TONS of happy years in that burrow... :p
