need help sexing

Hello all ive been gone a while but now im back . i was curious what the sex of my new russian tortoise was . I bought him/her 3 days ago off craigslist and i was told it was a male but i just wanted to be sure . thanks in advance

definitely no expert but with how long the tail is and the fact its tucked behind a leg, I would have to say definitely Male

That's a male. The female's tails are very short and do not have a hook at the end of them.
