Hi, I have a 5x3 tortoise table for my Russian tortoise and I want to put live plants in their to make it look nice. I need help choosing plants that will be safe for him if he eats them and ones that are hardy cause he's a tank and tramples over everything.

Have a look at the www.tortoisetable.org.uk for tort safe plants for feeding and enclosures.
If you buy plants from a store, re pot them in chemical free soil and allow time for any fertilisers etc that may have been absorbed by the plant to grow out - up to a year is often recommended, so if you can get cuttings or can get chemical free plants that would be quicker.
Another good tip is to leave them in the pots and sink them in the substrate so if your tort does bulldoze or eat them then they can be easily replaced.
