Thank you Kristina for your reply. I talked with the teacher today and she has now separated the two of them since the one was picking on the other one. She was mentioning that the Russian's shell looks to be quite thin when she was putting on the vaseline. Can anyone tell me what this could be and do we have any suggestions on how to help?

I would probably need more info, like, is it the plastron that looks thin?

It could be MBD, they may need more UV light and more calcium.

Any chance of more pics??? What do they have for UV, how old is it, and what are they getting for calcium?

I do have pictures posted of the plastron. I don't think that the right heat source has been used, but I did print out a copy of the care sheet for Russians and gave it to her. This little guy is very light I'm hoping now that she has them separated that it will gain some weight. I don't really know if she has any light on him I'm hoping now that she's read the care sheet that she does.
