This is the new habitat I built for our two female Russians out or reclaimed barn wood. The habitat is 7'x2'x10" with a railing for extra precaution. The table has a built in hide/ plant shelf on one half and a higher plant shelf on the other end to mount the light. I have a 100w zoomed MVB for a hot spot on one end and a Zilla desert 50 over the other half.

Looks nice. However, I don't understand how they get to both ends? Are they suppose to climb the hill in the middle and cross over the black thing that runs across the middle? If so, that's cool, as long as you are sure they can't climb over the edge and drop to the floor:(

I didn't see any water saucer. Is that what all the rocks on the one ends is, their water source? Cool

The enclosure is mounded in the center with rocks and coco choir/sand. There own little mountain separating the two halves. The slope of the sides and the railing prevent any possibility of them climbing out. I do know how we'll they can climb, and I have put lots of thought into keeping them safe. It is actually two plastic tubs that can b lifted out and rotated. I have others planted with tasty weeds.

I particularly like the two tubs. That will make it much easier to clean and change substrate. Great idea! I'm bookmarking this.

Tried to add a few more pics so u can see the water bowl and answer any questions the perspective of the pics raises but the app won't let me. But I will post more in a new thread :)

Here are a few more pics to help with any questions.

They certainly seem to be enjoying it! Love the idea of the tubs. Are they the cement tubs?

Yes. They are cement mixing tubs. They come in different sizes at most home improvement stores. They love it! They have been in there for two days and have explored every inch.
