Hello all! Just acquired my first tortoise this past week, a 1 yr old 4 inch female Hermanns (t. hermanii boettgeri). Her previous owner wasn't providing for her properly and it bothered me so much that I had to take her. I'm originally from Nebraska but we currently live in northeast Florida and I have kept other species of reptiles for many years-mostly ball pythons and other smallish snakes. Our mammal crew consists of 3 dachshunds and 1 cat.We also routinely foster cats, dogs, and exotics for local rescue groups. Looking forward to learning more about yet another great species and picking everyone's brains.
