Hello I have just lost my ornate box turtle of 10 years and I am wanting to get a baby Russian tortoise but having problems finding one and I also want to know if I can keep two different breeds of tortoises in one tank thanks

Regret to have read about your loss. How did that happen? if I may ask.

And welcome to the forum!

Pairs are never good as stated. Different tortoises also carry different pathogens, and can make each other sick. Different species also have different needs and temperaments.
Welcome to the forum. Sorry for your loss. We have a breeder list. I would start there. Several members breed Russians.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

Never mix species! A "tank" is not big enough for ONE Russian tortoise, let alone two different species of tortoise.

Take a look through the recents postings in the 'for sale' section. One of our members recently advertised she has baby russians for sale.
