Tom odd question do you have any problems with Torts giving up prepared food in favor of grazing the yard, after moving outside? If so do you worry about a balanced diet ?

I love the internal hydraulics! I've been wanting to try that out for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it.

We get rain in the winter here and all the weeds and wild growing grasses come to life. During that time of year, I don't even bother putting food out. They ignore it. They will literally walk over a tray of lettuce to go graze on the weeds and grass. Grazing on the grass and weeds should give them everything they need.

The gas springs are pretty cheap and convenient, but I wasn't getting the seal I wanted for the weatherstripping so I added the large latches to lock the lid down. For my 4'x4' I used a 150nm and a 300nm spring before I added the sheet metal roofing 2 150nm was enough. I imagine for a 8'x4' 2 300nm gas springs would be perfect.you can get them on Amazon with the brackets for 20ish.
