Many use Accu-Rite. SensorPush are rather expensive (but cool). If you want monitoring and notifications in your smartphone - you can get Govee or TP-Link sensors and complement them with Accu-Rite (or any other digital sensor) to cross-check.
Thank you so much! I was looking into the Govee ones I just didn’t know which ones are accurate. Thank you!

I know with the sensor push ones you can calibrate them if needed..
Some models of "casual" sensors allow calibration too. Not sure if it's a super-important feature unless you incubate eggs. No doubt, SensorPush worth its money, however cheaper 20 bucks sensors work for me well enough. With some extra features like integration between smart sockets and sensors to implement "dead man's switch" (shutting down all the stuff when temperatures hit critical value).

Okay just a quick update! I’ve build a greenhouse top and hung my lighting from the top. Got some more decor for him to hide under. I removed the doors that originally came in the enclosure and put some tough plastic stuff all around. The humidy is staying in and so is the heat, thankfully. I have some more tweaks to make to it but I ran out of the thick plastic I was using so I have to order more lol. I put some thin plastic on the areas that I didn’t get to for now but I think it will do till I get a better enclosure. My Arcadia uvb lighting is coming in tomorrow so I’ll be changing that too. He went crazy on a strawberry this morning. I also found out what the breeder usually feeds them which is Mazuri and he was just introducing greens. Anyway I ordered the mazuri diet for tortoises so that I can help little guy transition better. I’ve tried to keep a consistent schedule and my little tort I believe is slowly getting used to me. Usually when I wake him up for a nice warm soak in the morning his eyes are still closed but this morning he already had his eyes open . Which I hope means he is getting used to the little schedule I have going on. I’ve just been calling the little guy my lil tortilla but I’m still not set on a name yet. There’s just so many cute ones ! Plus I want to see its little personality come out too! I am so in love with my tort my family is tired of hearing me talk about it 😂😅
Here are some pics of what I’ve upgraded:

1.) Made a greenhouse top that is fully covered other than one part that I have to fix ( got too dark outside and I ran out of plastic 😭) IMG_2670.jpeg
2.)Here are some more fake plants and hiding areas. Took some advice about the tipped over flower pots! Tort seems to really enjoy the bushy parts I’ve made. I was trying to make it kind of like a bush. I actually live in a national forest so I just went outside and looked around to get some inspiration. That is one of many reasons I decided on a red foot. I read they are Forrest tortoise 🐢. I did put a fake colorful succulent plant but I noticed my little tort trying to eat it and so I inspected it and I realized the leaves actually come off so I removed it in fear that my little tortilla might swallow part of it. Better not to take the chance.

3.) As many suggested I got a terracotta for his water dish. I also added a tunnel like thing made of fake vines. It’s hard to tell from the picture but it’s on the left side. My lil tort seems to enjoy chilling in there sometimes.

Anyways that’s what I’ve done so far! I also tried offering a cacti pad but he did not seem interested at all which worried me a bit but I’m not sure if he’s ever had it before. Any more tips?

Give it time and slowly mix it in with the food he already likes to eat. The enclosure is looking good. Next year I'll be upgrading Mojo's enclosure to a bigger one.

Will do! I ordered the food that his breeder feeds which is Mazuri and he showed videos of them munching it down😂 it’s comes in tomorrow as well. My little guy has been eating some collard greens from my garden. I also offered him clover and he enjoys that quite a bit but he eats for about 5-10 minutes then wants to go back to sleep . It’s normal for a hatchling to sleep a lot? I think I read that somewhere but I can’t remember exactly . It could have been false

Yes, it is normal they are programed to hide from predators. So he will sleep a lot for that reason and also still getting comfortable in his new surroundings.

Just a quick comment. Before you open the jar of pellets make sure its the right one for Red Foots. When we were starting out we toddled into the Pet Store and got a jar of Mazuri... She refused it, even moistened. Then I looked closer at the label and discovered it was for "grassland" Tortoises. * eye roll * RF don't really eat grass and hay like other kinds do.

Then I discovered here and got things straightened out and so far seem to be living happily ever after. Just saying.
