Hey everyone,
I've finished my tortoise habitat. Everyone is happy!!! They have been in here for about a week now. Plenty of space to dig, walk, bask, and get shade! Also many places for them to burrow in. They got a large hut to sleep in at night or during the day if they desire! I love it!!! Check it out!!!!! :)

Here are some pics I'll post more later!!!

That's a beautiful space and a lovely back yard.

There are a couple of things I feel I have to say about it though.

When the children are playing out there, the turtles and tortoises are so small, they could easily be stepped on or knocked about in the heat of the game. It would be much better to separate the play area from the tortoise area.

Also, mixing species. This is a real no-no in my book. It looks like you have box turtles, Russians and a sulcata all living in the same space. Besides the pathogen problem between the species, there's the fact that the three different types of chelonia all need a different environment.

I'm sure the turtles and tortoises feel like they've escaped captivity in such a large area, but I really wish you would make three separate pens for the different species.

I have to totally agree with Yvonne. Mixing species is not a good thing at all. That's also including kids playing where turtles/tortoises are moving slowly and possibly burrowing just below the surface and getting badly hurt.

Actually I'm 15 years old hehe so know kids here Haha. Yeah your right about the different kinds being together but I give all of them the proper care needed. :)

And yes I actually do have three pens that I separate them in. This is just the biggest out of all of them so they get to feel free!! :)
