We have a pair of Red Foots. Gen. Bolivar, our female, just laid eggs this morning. We have been caught totally by surprise.
We keep a dog house on the pirch for them. Bolivar laid the eggs in the mulch. One of the eggs was crushed by Mr. Scarlett so we decided to move the other. When i picked it up the shell was soft and flexible to the touch. Is that normal? We have it in a container now under a warming disc at about 80f.

No it should not be soft and flexible. Most likely your torts are lacking in calcium. I would make sure you give your torts some cuttle bone, and make sure your female gets some water. They drink a lot of water before and after laying eggs.
