No VOC paint on enclosure?

I am thinking of doing a few stencils on the exterior of my tort's indoor enclosure. She stays inside normally. If I took her outside while painting, and used no VOC paint, would it be safe to bring her back in a few hours later?

I'd give it at least 24 hours and put a fan on it.
