So, here is this CL ad for a redfoot with some feet problems. I am seriously thinking about it, but decided to repost in case anyone else is interested. I have 6 cherries, so he will have to live alone, maybe (given his handicap) it is a good thing? In any case, maybe someone else is interested too?

It looks like a birth defect. If it were rats there would seem to be more scarring.
Either way, I'll bet he could still live a long and happy life!
Maybe it was a long time ago? The damage to his feet? I looked at my cherries feet and it looks like his whole "sole" is basically gone. Could it be from living in some concrete enclosure or something? Is it painful for him to walk on those "stumps"?

Hard to say. There seems to be very little scarring and skin covering the foot with two claws each on the rear and three on the fronts. Definately very old, whatever and whenever it happened.
I'll bet he's in no pain at all. Though he might have to walk funny. The nails that he DOES have are worn down to the nubs.
I'd get him on some grass and mulch.

will he be ok on his own? Meaning housed alone, not mixed with my cherries.
