Alright so i have a random question about one of my leos. Hes orange. I never noticed the diference until i brought him home and compared him to my older one but hes really orange. I thought maybe it was cuz there was some sort of powder on him, but no. Hes really orange. Both his parents are diferent looking all together. Take a look at the picts below. And also wen should i start waxing his shell? The breeder told me to wait a few months.

Many things can discolor them. What substrate is he on? Does he go outside for sunshine?

Why are the parents on sand?

Oh, WOW! He really is orange! Maybe whoever had him before fed him a lot of carrots? Carotene has that effect on a lot of animals. That's what they feed flamingos in zoos to keep their bright colour. I just saw some's post on IG about feeding their tort mashed carrots. So there are people out there who feed their torts carrots.

Coco coir isnt good for them? Thats wat i got from yvonnes reply

Not true at all. In fact quite a few of our members use coco coir. It just stains the tortoise. Not harmful at all.
