My tortoise will climb up the log fall down and repet this process a couple times almost every day is this a good thing?

No, it's not a good thing. You might want to remove the log to prevent the flipping. Or dig it down to make it safer for climbing.

I’d make it so it acts more like a burrow so he doesn’t flip and fall off it, bury it under the substrate so he can walk right over it, to me it sounds like he’s frustrated, but you’re getting a size upgrade in order soon which is great!
