Outdoor enclosure mesh

Hi, I'm building an outdoor enclosure for my Redfoot and need to make it highly predator proof as we've got lots of them. Balancing the need to let UVB/sunshine in and predators out, does anyone have guidance on the best chicken wire to use? Seems to be either 1/2 inch hardware cloth, 1 inch hex wev pvc coated fence, or 2 x 3 inch rabbit fencing. Can anyone tell me if the 1/2 inch or 1 inch squares will allow sufficient sun/uvb rays in? Yes, the uvb will be fine going thru. It's screening, plastic and glass that blocks the majority of it.
