Overgrown scutes

Hi, my female Hermann tortoise has a problem that I have only noticed recently. Her edge of shell scutes are transparent and have grown to a sharpish edge and are kind of grazing off the skin on her legs.
What can I do to prevent this more or, get rid of it.

The greyish colour is the grazed skin.
The transparency doesn't come off on camera.

I have done a little bit of filling but didn't want to go too far.
But why are these edges transparent? Is it natural?

It’s nothing to worry about, I’m not sure how to file it down though.
