This is HROTHGAR. His plastron is plain (at least now)He's a keeper because of his freakishly fast growth. 7 3/8"scl and 1400g.

This is RAGNAR.He has the best pattern of my yearlings, and as a bonus, a beautifully marked plastron. He is 6 1/4" and 840g.

This one hasn't a name yet, but also sports a hash marked plastron. He was also born 8/2010, but grows at a more "normal" speed. He weighs 350g and i9s 4 3/8"scl.

I love the lighter Leopard shells! I hope my 2 have lots of white in them, but if not... I'll love them anyhow!:p

I like # 2. He should be called Speckled Dust.

Man I thought I was doing something wrong. My biggest is around 700 grams now. My smaller ones are all up to around 400 now. I'm glad to know that not all of yours are growing like that giant one. Makes me feel a little better about mine.

Wow! Are these from the 2010 batch? What does your setup look like? Sometimes it might just be genetics...Im raising 2 babcocks right now. One is growing really fast..the other one at normal rate. Congrats on your results.

Just noticed his actual name is Ragnar. Are you a runner?

I think Hrothgar is an anomoly, and I have no doubt that he will get quite big. I hope that it's a trait that he will pass on. It seem every time I weigh him, he's gained another 100g. I can't "palm him" anymore to pick him up, he's just too wide. He never races to the food, and usually will just sit there about a foot away while the others eat, before he moves in. I have all of mine on an open shelf in a basement warm room. About 50 sq. ft.
