Beautiful pictures...89 cents?? Isn't that really cheap? I never bought it so I wouldn't know, but I'm going to look for that for Pio. He's such a fussy eater.

Papaya, mango, and cactus pears are the only fruits I feed :) They look like they are loving it!

I think if might go mushy if you freeze it, so I would cut it up and portion it in single feeding amounts, that way you can thaw and feed and not have to worry about it getting gross.

Just for what it is worth- Papaya, figs, and cacti fruit have great nutritional values, and are among the few traditional fruits with good calcium loads.

Other good fruits (high in calcium, good Ca: P, low in bad stuff) include: blackberries and mulberries, strawberry, pineapple, and naval oranges.

Mango is not bad with a Ca: P of 0.9:1, and most melons run about 0.5 to 0.6:1, but of course, the calcium is not the only thing we look for in good foods- cancer-fighters, micronutrients, moisture, etc.

NOTE: This is aimed at forest species!
