Hey all.
Haven't updated y'all in a while about Phoenix. I've had him now for about 4 months now. He's doubled his size so far. I think I also maybe see some new growth coming in but I'm not entirely sure. I don't really know how to look at that. Can anyone tell?

Here are some measurements along the way:

38.5 g - Aug. 2nd, 2013
40.1. g - Aug. 6th, 2013
39.5 g - Aug. 15th, 2013
43.0 g -Sept. 5th, 2013
47.3 g -Sept. 18, 2013
51.1 g -Oct. 01, 2013
53.4 g -Oct. 13, 2013

He's totally stolen my heart. :)

If you posted a pic, I don't see it. However, you do have some nice steadying weight increases. The new growth usually comes in yellowish/white.

Phoenix, is looking phenomenal! :D Good job, raising him/her smooth so far!

I feel like my GPB is one of the very few that's new growth, grows black.

Black huh?
Very neat!! Yeah my sulcata was very different and I could hardly tell but I didn't do too well with her. I'm excited that it looks like I'm finally getting it all right. :)

Great job with your Leo. You have a beauty there, and it's reflected in your care for him. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, she's growing a lot dark than most GPB I've seen here on the forum. Trial and error my friend. :) you definitely have been doing a fantastic job, keep at it! Here's a most recent picture of my GPB. She's somewhere a long the lines of 60g.

yes, i can see his growth (youre doing a great job by the way) the white you see on the shell, between scutes, is the new growth. just to answer your question.

Thanks! :D Yeah, at first I was anticipating her growth to be white like everyone else's and now I'm really feeling the black she's kept. It's like a glossy black. She's eating clovers, grass trimmings and dry Mazuri, Grassland blended with shredded carrots. She's been picky, but she eats!

My oldest Leopard had the thick black growth lines at first, too. The white growth ring is coming...just wait. ;)
