This has volunteered up in my vegetable garden. I am hoping someone can help identify it because if it's no good I'm going to rip it out.

I looked and immediately thought “tropical milkweed!” Which can’t possibly be it so I’ll wait for someone else to come along with a real answer.

I don't know what it is but wanted to let you to know I had an app pop up on my phone called plantsnap. So I downloaded it. It's free and easy to use, I'm proof of that, If I can figure it out it must be easy. I tested a couple pics and got results.

The more I look at it, the more I think it may be a type of willowherb. I have identified 3 types of it in my area. What do y'all think, does it look like something in the onagraceae family?

I was thinking more on the lines of "fireweed" - used to be Epilobium, may now be Chamerion

Willowherb is another common name for this group of plants
