Just been out collecting weeds and found these. They are about 4" high and look to be a ground covering plant. I didn't have my phone on me whilst out so couldn't take pictures of them in situ.

Haha! Yes, it's on the "no" list, but very widely used in human medicine. Again, provided it's horsetail. Now, you said: groundcover?.... Horsetail grows upright... And I recall from Poland it used to like growing near marshes. May need to take those in situ pics afterall:)
