Hi guys I have a bunch of different wild flowers and weeds in fields behind my house .
Was hoping some of these I could possibly forage and feed my tortoise .

Can anyone identify? I tried using Tortoise Table but just not sure if they are what I think they are so an expert would be awesome.

Also is there a way if replanting these in my terrium with the coco coir ?

Thank you !

There is an APP called Picture This -Plant Identifier. It uses your camera and does well identifying plants. CON- costs money to keep but it does have a free trial period that would allow you to check your wild growth and then cross check with TortoiseTable. Growing in the enclosure is tricky due to soil may not be the right type, Need a full spectrum UV bulb to grow, and pressure from the tortoise. I use the smaller pot in a bigger pot method to keep the tortoise out for the most part but determined ones will not be stooped. Starting plants and grasses in small tray on a dedicated plant grow rack would allow you to rotate in fresh and pull out eaten trays so you may restart. Lastly growing weeds can be FRUSTRATING. It is a weed right it grows every right- yeah try to grow it on purpose and growing orchids is easier! Plantain Weed's secret is it needs a cold spell to activate them ie-from Outside Pride: cold stratify seeds before planting by placing them in the refrigerator for a few weeks. Good Luck!!

Even if they do get trampled and what not I was wondering If I essentially could uproot some wild flowers cleanly and replant them in the enclosure even if its a every other day occasion

What species of tortoise?

1. I don't know the yellow flowers.
2. I don't know the tiny little leaves here either.
3. I'm not sure, but the white flowers resemble the "deadly night shade" I get here. If that is correct, it is toxic.
4. I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I think that is a type of hosta. You'll have to investigate further to confirm, but if I am right, hosta is edible for tortoises.
5. Grass is good for grass eating species. Babies need tender soft freshly sprouted grass. Adults can eat what is pictured.
6. Same as number two.

Hermanni are not a grass eating species, but they do like to hide in tall clumps of grass like that.
