Pour hydrogen peroxyde on/in the hole. If the hole moves and undulates, you will know there are more in there.
(Vet instructed us to do this for our bunny).
Then you just keep tweezing them out.

Might want to keep him inside until the hole seals over.

So gross! But good for you and your gf to get this taken care of.

Sorry for delay on update we did get them all out there were i believe like 15 in there the hole is healin up now
