I assume these are dandelion but I wanted to make sure before I let my little guy have at it.

There are several weeds that look like dandelion, and are also edible. Yours doesn't look like dandelion to me because the leaves are too broad and smooth.

this looks like asiatic hawksbeard, which is safe. It's a winter weed here in the south, along with violets
