Ok me and my family were outside swimming and we have a big yard and I let my 2 sullies outside in the yard to play and eat while we were outside they were eating the grass and walking around and then one started walking one way and the other went another way and no longer than ten mins later I grabbed them both to bring them closer and my bigger one was like foaming from the mouth!!!! Like alll bubbly and slobbery and he was not like that when I checked on him no more than ten mins before but the other smaller one is fine! There's nothing to eat but grass outhrre and they were both eating it
there's no bubbles now after I put him inside but he is still slobbery and is just sitting there with his eyes closed
PLEASE HELPPPP! what's wrong with him and what do I do?

Hi Kendall:

He probably got too hot. Put him in some room temp water to soak for a quarter hour or so. He'll probably be ok.

I agree with yvonne. I live out here in the desert where its often well over 100. I've seen exactly what you described when they've gotten too hot. The moisture from saliva or the tearing of their eyes help cool them a little if they can catch a breeze. This year I hung a solar shade over their corner area where their sleeping den is and have 2 frozen 1gal water bottles I put in their box. I keep 2 more in the freezer so I can rotate them. Works great for me since my two stay outdoors. They stay in that box most of the day.

i would make a secure outdoor enclosure for them and not allwo them to wander.. many get lost that way, or into things they shouldnt.. but cool him down and let us know how he is doing.
