So I've read from a fish forum that it is safe to put cured polymer clay accessories in a fish tank. Do you think its OK to make a food or water bowl out of polymer clay for our tortoise? Thank you!

The polymer clays that I use are not food-safe, the manufacturer recommends to not use it for dishware, fish tanks or food bowls. Better safe than sorry.

My dogs have chewed up some of the polymer clay stuff I've made. It's nowhere near as hard as your fired earth clays. So, in short, I wouldn't recommend using it for your tort.
