I've only had my tortoise for about two weeks, but I noticed something when I got him. The pattern of his shell is messed up in the back.
I was wondering if this is something I should be concerned about or ntohing to worry about.

It is called "split scutes" and is believed to be caused by higher incubation temperatures. It is also believed to be purely cosmetic, and shouldn't affect the animals health.

Thank you very much. I'm glad it's nothing to be worried about.
