This one has gaps lines and I was just wondering if that's new growth.ImageUploadedByTortForum1367980643.869451.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1367980659.508044.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1367980674.454306.jpg

And this one my son picked because he was wrinkly and he thought he would be picked last. They told us he was 4 days old when we got him. He still had a little belly button. He might be wrinkly but sure cute:)ImageUploadedByTortForum1367980776.698899.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1367980800.417725.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1367980845.234297.jpg

That is the initial formation of a pyramided scute on the first one. Correct conditions now should halt it pretty quickly.

So you've got two? Are they in separate enclosures I hope?

How are you housing them? Toms great threads are at the bottom of my post. They all are great reads. Set up the enclosure like in his threads and you will be able to grow them smooth. The darker one has some very slight pyramiding starting it looks like. The other one, the wide gaps may be the start. They are really cute.

No one for now until they get a little biggerImageUploadedByTortForum1367981185.469416.jpg

What about the wrinkles on the other one? My son was correct he was probably overlooked because the others were smoothe.

Keep a close eye out for bullying. If one seems to eat more then the other, one seems to come out more then the other, one seems to be thriving more then the other, chasing, one moving away from food when the other comes along, etc, could be signs of bullying/intimidation. The one being bullied could get sick and possibly die if these things happen and you don't separate. Also, your enclosure is very nice, but, they will continue to pyramid if you don't make the changes needed.

Just forewarning you, you will not be able to provide the correct conditions for smooth growth in an open topped enclosure. If they are well hydrated and use the humid areas a lot, the pyramiding will likely be minor, but when they are two or three years old, you might regret using this enclosure.

I'm just sayin'... I've been there and done that...

Also, once it starts it is very difficult to stop it. Much easier to prevent it in the first place.
