Pyramiding?

This is a picture of my little guy chomper. I changed his substrates from green carpet to top soil and sphagnum moss about a week ago. I hope this isn't pyramiding. And if it is, I hope I caught it in time before it gets worse

Yes thats is pyramiding. If you go to the sulcata section read Tom's treads on keeping Leo/ sulcatas you will stop it in it's tracks.

It is pyramiding. I wouldn't worry about it though. Just offer the best diet and conditions possible and you will have yourself a healthy tortoise. If all else is good, pyramiding is just cosmetic.

It's not too bad and you've stopped it in time. Just remember to keep the moss/soil/substrate moist and soak him frequently.

Some pyramiding , but it could be a heck of a lot worse. It's a beautiful healthy leopard you have there

Humidity, hydration, diet, exercise and natural sunlight will help stop this. There is no reversing it. How old is your little buddy?
