Hi. Our 4 queen palm trees have just started growing their seed pods. They are green and few drop to the ground. I am worried my Desert Tortoise may ingest them.
See attached pic.
Has anyone experienced any effects with their tortoise ingesting the seeds? Are they even interested in eating them? The seeds look like they can potentially clog their systems if ingested whole.
Thanks for your feedback.

Since the queen palm comes from the same part of the world as the redfooted tortoises, I'm willing to bet that RF tortoises eat the dropped fruit/seeds. According to what I could find looking through my friend Google's pages, queen palm fruit/seeds are not toxic.
