TONIGHT, I CAME ACROSS A TORTOISE LITERALLYON THE ROAD AND I STOPPED. THIS GUY WAS HUGE AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS... I HAVE ONE PIC I CAN E MAIL TO SOMEONE

Hi STEVECHIO:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!! Is your name Steve? And may we know where you are?

Your newly found tortoise is a sulcata and he has either escaped his yard or someone has let him loose. They can't survive cold winters, so if you still have him when winter comes, you will have to provide heat for him.

Have you put up signs around the neighborhood where he was found? Also, "found" ads are free in the newspaper, just don't give out too much information. Make the callers describe the tortoise. Its also free to place ads on Craig's list.
