Raising humidity.

Okay I will get right down to the question. How do I raise the humidity in my fully enclosed enclosure? It is very big and I mist it often but I cant seem to get above 77% so maybe if I put a jar of water in there it will raise the humidity? Or what can I do?

Are you pouring water into the substrate? I learned from @Tom and @Yvonne G to pour water into the substrate so the under layer is damp, but the top stays dry. I also stir up the orchid bark every so often to bring the humidity up.

Make sure to pour in hot water! Kicks it right up-just away from the tort please

If you are not able to keep humidity up, it means there is too much ventilation. Close the gaps.

All the gaps are closed but it is 60" round enclosure so I have a hard time keeping it all up with humidity and the door is pretty big and I open it about 3-4 times a day to mist it and feed it ect. So is there a special substrate that is Great at holding moisture? Or should I just make a small door for misting and feeding and keep the larger door for other more bigger things I need to do?

If it were all sealed up, humidity would stay 100% all the time. Humid air is leaking out somewhere, and dry cool air is replacing it.

Well there are small cracks near the door but would it really be lowering the humidity that much?
