And the other day, this male was turned in to me:
Take a closer look at the edge of the second male's carapace. This is such a pretty turtle! I don't know if the scalloped edges are because he's a mixed-race turtle or because he was raised indoors with nothing abrasive to wear down the edge of his shell. Whatever the reason, he's really, really pretty!
(And he's up for adoption to anyone with a nice fenced-in pond in the Fresno-Clovis area!!)
