Okay i have be raising my little red foot elmer which is about 5 months right now for about a month. I've been giving him variaty of food but mostly fresh organic greens that we eat as salads. I often give it tomatoes too. But i have just notice that redfoot need more protien because it also feed on animal carcasses etc. too. Does any one who has experience in raising a red foot with good health have a care sheet they could offer me. I would love to help elmer has everything he needs to be healthy and happy.

I used both Mike Pingleton's book and the guidelines for general husbandry and diet found at the website below (this is Madkins007's website):

Here's the book (this is an absolutely fantastic book, it's easy to read and extremely informative):

Protein is important, but our captive diets are relatively rich. I am for no more than 10% of their diet coming from animal protein, which usually equates to 2-3 small servings (no larger than their head) per month.
