Hello, Everyone, I live in the mountains of western NC, pretty close to Boone, NC.

After hurricane Helene, my tortoise's outdoor enclosure has been destroyed. I also don't have any room for the little bugger inside as Sully is starting to get pretty big for an inside enclosure. It's been weeks of contemplating but I'm left with an unfortunate choice. Is there a place anyone knows of I could take him/her, sort of like a rescue of any kind? If not and someone in this forum is a few hours away and is in the market for a Sulcata of 3 years, I can absolutely drive Sully to the right home. I just cannot afford to build another outdoor enclosure and winter is right around the corner.

Please help Sully and I.

I am so sorry to hear about that! You must be devastated. I have a 2 year old sully gal but we have enough space for multiple. Was talking not too long ago about looking to adopt another sully. I am a bit north of Dallas, TX, which is a bit farther than would be ideal. If you're not able to find a place close for your babe, I would love to help. It says about 14 hours from my area to yours if you could meet me halfway or something like that, I can help. (225) 280-5999

Your baby and mine are not too far apart in size. Here's a pic I took and put on my phone screen. I'm a nerd 😎

I know you mean well and it would be lovely for you to help this person, but tortoises can’t be housed in pairs😣

Just a heads up too I wouldn’t feed your guy fruit! They can tolerate it as a treat when older but one as young as yours, I’d stick with leafy greens and weeds🐢💚

Did you ever find a home!? We relocated to upstate SC three years ago and just logged back on to see how things are! I think your only an hour or so away. We still have Hugo and brought him all the way from AZ. I built a heated night box and everything. I’m not sure we could have it until its older but our cousins in Columbia I’m sure would.
