I've never used vitamins, they're not necessary if you are providing a well varied diet... Calcium should be given 2-3 times a week though, if you are trying to improve your tort's diet the best thing to do is to vary it :) Hope anyone else with more product experience helps!

Thanks!I feed the right stuff all fresh weeds and flowers it's just I got a another hermanns a few weeks ago an it really young still so I figured the the vits couldn't hurt. Especially Because I got it off a lady on kijji who had hundreds of reptiles an I don't think she had the time to take care of it properly it was raised on just salad mix, hopfully much damage wasn't done an can be reversed so I'm just trying to do everything I can to get the little guy back to where he should be. I'm really hoping he's not vitamin a deficent! He seems like he has bad eye coordination always misses his food the first few bites

A good diet is vitamins :D I wouldn't worry that much... Eye coordination that's bad seems normal, or so I have read :)

An had really dry skin when I got him but it's starting to look a little better now with a warm bath daily so it could have just been humidity but the eye site scares me into believing he's vitamin a deficient! So you think I should still hold off on the vits if I'm feeding a good diet? Thanks

No I'm fully with you on this one if they are getting the right diet they shouldn't need vitamins! I've never gave my other tort any an he's fine just since the new guy was on such a bad diet before I wasn't sure if I should be! Thanks for the help!
