I've seen differences in the diet you should give a red eared slider, some say up to 50% commercial foods, other say 25%, I'm not sure how much to feed, and what to feed... Any help appreciated :)

Any way to tell how old a turtle is? Most of them here are really small... At about what age is a tort 1 year old?

My RES is real picky about her greens! She loves feeder fish, superworms, crickets... and I always give all my turtles a little commercial food in the morning.

The Red Ear Sliders here will eat essentially anything that I put in for them....however, their fav is the Mazuri Tortoise food :)rolleyes:) second behind any live worm of any kind....they also like (not love yet) greens...as they age that will likely change some....the red ears here are about 6 inches or so long and are roughly 4 years old (give or take a little)...
