My redfoot Rex has one food tray where I put his greens and one food dish where his pellet diet is, anyway all the time he dumps his food along with the tray or bowl into his water dish/soaking tub! I dont know Why he does it other then to drive me crazy? Is this normal or what does it mean?:tort:

My redfoot walks across her uneaten food every morning. I think its a tortoise thing.

Mine cant knock the dishes over as they are heavy rock type.... but they gladly trample it or just sit ontop of it kicking food all over...

They like to be all over the food.

(Pellets are not an ideal food source)

It's not his main food source, just kept on the side in case he ever wants any, it's made for tortoises

my tortoise will literally turn around and pee on his food if he doesnt like it. I guess it's his way of telling me he's bored of that food...time to switch!

Food dishes and water bowls are not very natural, and being limited so much in space is not either. They just make a lot of mess as they wander around looking for whatever their instincts are telling them to look for.

You don't see this as much in larger outdoor pens or big indoor habitats.

You took the words right out of my mouth "Double 'O Sevven" !

No matter how often I clean and tidy up the terrarium for my RF's, since it will only take minutes before it's a complete mess again... :D
