What is this spot on her neck?
Hi there yes this may of been caused by my dog I was at work the week after I got her and my partner wasn't watching but luckily our room mate saw so she has a prices missing but I paid a vet who specialises in exotic animals etc she is loved o i assure you ❤️Hi! It looks like a rub or small wound from the sharp edge of his shell (on the right, just behind the spot on the neck).
If the edge indeed feels sharp, you may use a soft nail file to round it a little.
Also, can you make some close-up photos of his shell top, bottom and from the all four sides? Something looks off to me.
I agree. Something looks off.An incident with the dog explains missing keratin all over the top of her shell though. It's not the chips around her neck concern me but something else looks unusual on the photo (top right part of the shot, behind her left leg).

You've got me worried now 🥺I agree. Something looks off.
Other than that is she healthy on her shell ?? I'm worried there is a to much growth?? She is only 9 months ish I got her from a friend but she was tiny!!! So not sure if she is that age I think she maybe younger but I do look after her I have the t5 over her enclosure and basking bulb and che for nighttime ❤️Thanks, I see now. It's the damage from dog's teeth. Poor baby. It looked more like a tumor or edema on the first photo. Sharp edges need be filed or they will constantly cause small injuries when moving.
Okay, I see now too. Just be sure she has a big enough enclosure to get enough exercise. Tortoises don't get over weight if they have proper size enclosure, diet, heat and light.
Feed her enough food that it will last her all day and even if there is left overs that's fine.
I will give her an evening bathe then do it - thankyou all for your help and support for my shell baby 🥰I agree with Alex, the spot looks like a scab from the rough bit of shell just behind the neck. You can take an emory board and gently file the chewed edges of that shell to smooth them out. There won't be any pain. It's just like filing your fingernails. The spot doesn't look at all like Austwikia (spelling?)
