Do torts have routine?
It sounds silly but when I wake up his face is pressed up the glass waiting for me.

Yes they do! Torts are creatures of habit. They will get used to your routine. When you get up, they know about that time, they'll either get a soak or get fed. If one day your routine is off, you'll find them waiting patiently for you to do what they're used to doing at that time. If you're off schedule, or the schedule is changed, they will appear upset or irritated.

Yes, to what sibi just said. Big time. Once they know you are not going to make prey out of them, which is that period of time when they adjust to being in their new home, your home, they do like a reliable routine and respond accordingly. So cute, yes?
