It's just like plastic liner stuff. The stuff you would use to protect from paint! The tube in the water is actually just a pump. I have a filter I want to put in later, a small one for a fish tank, but right now the water just evaporates in about a day. I will eventually be adding more depth dirt wise for deeper more permanent water!

Oh and yes it's running water. But it would, again work alot better with a deeper "well"

Are the stones just place there or are they glued in place?

I have two canister filters on my fishtanks, ones an eheim and the other is a fluval, both great but you cant let any air in them, especially the eheim. The fluval has a purge thing built in, could be worth a look??

The rocks are just placed in there until they come up the sides! And yea, my idea is to have a deep "water well" filled with rocks, pumps and filters being at the bottom. This is because I don't want the water to be too deep for my tort of course (although he can swim. Which is pretty hilarious!)

Well done. Looks like you have a very elaborate table. thumbs up. Can we get some pictures of the entire table?

I also wish to see a video of the tortoise swimming as well. Maybe we can make improvised floaties and have our tortoise learn the same lol.

Ok! Here it is! I have this funky top on now but that's temporary until I get the time to make a better one! The light is on a pulley system too! And here's my little invention that I call the "Turdle Tweezers"

All you need is two tongue depressors, and a little hot glue! Simple!

And here's Russell swimming!
