I am in process of building a table now. But, before I buy a tort, I want to make sure a have a solid plan for food. I feel this may be the one area where I am most under educated.

What should I do to get this started? Should I grow all my own food? Some of it? Buy it all at the grocery store? Plant some in the table?

A little help will go a long way......thanks!

I would try to grow a lot of you're own food so it hasn't been processed and If you feel you should plant some in the table then do so

I would do all if those things- a little bit of each. I grow a few plants and lettuces in my backyard just for my RT Gary (radicchio, petunias, nasturium) oh and lots of dandelion leaves and clovers, those seem to grow naturally in my grass :) I also buy a different lettuce each time i go grocery shopping and rotate it in to feedings, like Escarole, arugula, spring mix, etc. Variety is really important.

I've heard they like artichoke. I keep forgetting to buy one to see if Gary will like it :)
