It's been about 2 days since Claude last ate normally. I feed him when I wake up in the morning and he just goes for his food until it's all gone, but recently he hasn't been going for his food at all. I can hand feed him a few leaves of kale until he becomes disinterested. He even waits by his food dish when I wake up, but doesn't even try to eat. He juts sits there. He isn't usually like this and I'm worried something's wrong!

The temperatures are comstant, around 80F in his tank with one cool and one warm side with a basking lamp. I soak him daily with warm water and let him wander my backyard for some sun, but he doesn't eat much even though there are a ton of clovers and other weeds. Can someone give me advice? Should I just wait for him to eat normally again or is it something bigger?

Have you tried a dandelion flower while he's out in the sun? It could be a uv level drop in your light that is making him not have a stimulated appetite.

I unfortunately don't have any dandelions growing around my house, and I've read that I shouldn't give him ones from gardening stores because of chemicals. It may be the lack of UV because it has been pretty overcast and more humid than usual for the past few days. Could that affect his behavior even though he's an indoor tortoise?

Have you tried to change up his food, he may be bored with the same food everyday. Try some red leaf lettuce or endive, mine goes nuts for that.

Ah yes, I got him some collards today, but he didn't look interested yet. Maybe when he feels more bungry he'll give them a try. Maybe I should just leave him alone...?
