Russian tort scales missing?

We are new to tortoises and recently got a Russian tortoise. I just noticed today it looks like he had two different areas where scales are missing. No bleeding and no irritated skin. Is this normal?

Looks to be old cuts/wounds. Most Russian tortoises are captured in the wild so they come with dings and scratches
