Russian Tortoise in Glendale, CA looking for new home

i bought a Russian Tortoise from the pet store for my 9yr old almost a year ago. Unfortunately we weren’t entirely prepared for what we were getting into and have also faced a lot of family health emergencies that have limited our ability to care for it. I believe it is a female but don’t know 100%.

She’s healthy and active. Actually brumated through the winter months from mid December to beginning of March. I was looking to move her outside and build a bigger enclosure but have not been able to and at this point our family feels it is better if we found a new home for her.

If anyone is looking to rescue or take on a Russian tortoise she is free and I can include here enclosure and lamps, but must take the tortoise.

I will try to update with images and can answer any questions.

Thanks for the tip! They take any tortoise that comes there way? It’s a little bit of a hike but could swing it if necessary.

You'd have to ask, but they just took in a Russian recently, so probably.
