Hello everybody,

I am looking to add an insulating layer at least to the top, and maybe even to the sides, of our turtle setups. Looking at various products has me worried about chemical leakage. We currently have acrylic sheets over the water to let in light on cold days, but the electric bills to keep the water warm at nigh are getting steep. You can see the warm water condensation on the acrylic, so chemicals will definitely leach into the water from anything we cover the water section of the habitat. Does anyone have any ideas? Was thinking of maybe formaldehyde-free plywood…they use a soy-based adhesive: is soy bad for turtles? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
