I have a baby (9 months old) Hermann's tortoise and now that it's springtime here in Oklahoma, I would like to plant some things in his enclosure. He is housed in a long (under the bed type) rubbermaid container with top soil as substrate. I would like to plant some safe grasses to liven it up a bit for him.

I noticed the Food List for the Desert tortoises and was wondering if that applied to the Mediterranean tortoises as well? I had fescue grass and geraniums in mind and would like to know what else is safe.

Thanks!

I planted a Christmas Tree storage bin for my little Cherry Head a few years ago. I put in Spring Mix seeds and some lettuce seeds. I don't know what Hermanns eat, but mine loved the little sprouts that were coming up.
