yes ...they are Pure line gene Brazilian Redfoots aka: "Cherrys " ...I had two in a clutch of 5 that came out with very unusual tiny split scutes.

"Scutes" are the "Plates" that make up your tortoise's shell....best laymen term I can think of ...

If yours has 2, I would love to see it, this would be a first !.
Usually tortoises have 13 scutes. They are the "spots" basically....5 along the back, 4 along either side. Now, I've seen up to 21 scutes, 13 is just "typical".
